The flowers that were replaced once they wilted,
And will be again when these
have died.
The new sweater and boots
that were purchased
but never requested,
amazingly the correct size.
The surprise of walking into
a clean house
after a stressful day
at work.
The first sip of coffee
in the morning
with just the right amount
of cream and sugar.
The sweet kisses of my
granddaughters at bedtime,
and when we get up in the
morning.
